Error when changing ownership of dataset

We are encountering an error while changing ownership of a Power BI dataset. The dataset was initially published to a group worspace by one user. Another user has pressed the "Take Over" button to take over the ownership of the dataset. After this change, the "Settings" page of the dataset displays the message "We don't support settings for this dataset." Controls for specifying a gateway for this dataset are not visible. Attempts to update data source credentials have not resolved the issue. Similarly, attempts for the new owner to re-publish the dataset from Power BI Desktop have not resolved the problem.
