Error bars

We often have additional statistical information on our data points, like min/max, standard deviation (error), percentiles, etc. It would be nice to be able to render at least error bars showing the confidence interval for our data points. Standard deviation could be provided on a separate column which we could drag into the visual. It would be nice to have this basic feature in the base product without having to install custom visuals. (I could not find a custom visual for this either.)

Another vote for this much-needed feature.

xviz does not support dynamic error bars, only static values. if someone wants to represent as error bars for example the real standard deviation of the data represented in a line chart it does not work with xviz. This feature is a must to implement.

I agree with Ken. "Standard deviations is a critical visualization for all our work. I'd really love this feature because we do them in other tools today."

This 2016 request is still outstanding? Yikes.

Finally arrived for line charts in the March 2022 release. Hopefully bar chart functionality coming soon!

Before the new error bars were introduced I made used stacked bars to make the confidence interval (shading) and a line chart with markers only for the values. It's cumbersome but is much clearer than the new error bar feature. I'd include pictures, but can't see a way to do that.

What I'd really like is graduated shading in the confidence interval - dark in the middle, fading to almost nothing at the edges giving a stronger visual impression of confidence distribution.

I saw this was added to line charts- Adding this feature for Bar and Column charts would be incredibly helpful (alongside wrapping text!!)

I work for a local authority and we are increasingly using parts of the Power platform but a lack of error bars is a major detractor as they are a vitally important part of some of our visuals.
