Epic idea: Row and column headers enhancements

To address the challenges of organizing and presenting data due to the limitations of column and row headers, a potential solution would be to implement a new matrix visual with customizable controls, allowing report creators to adjust the dimensions of columns and rows, group them hierarchically, apply diverse styles, and use conditional formatting.

Headers should be removable in table.

I want to be able to control the width and height in a more efficient way.

• I want to be able to define width and height in pixels for ALL rows/columns at once.
• I want to be able to define for a specific data type e.g. all decimal columns set to N pixels, all integer columns set to N pixels.
• I still need the granular control also.

Alignment

• I want to be able to default all column headers to right aligned if the value is numeric (it is too time consuming to do this one by one).

Conditional formatting

• Not specific to headers, I need conditional formatting to be available everywhere and be easy to apply to ALL columns/rows optionally.

Totally agree we need ability to turn off frozen headers for wide tables. Also if the data has a column drill to have the ability to add non-repeating columns at the start or end of the data, there isn't enough customisation around total/grand total.

As a global enterprise customer we have users coming from other platforms which expect more functionality to such a visual. As an example we need to group several rows by a costcenter column. Each row should be expandable to visualize sub-rows with different more detailed columns.
