Epic idea: Extended analytic functionalities

To fix inconsistencies in analytic settings, functionality needs to be enhanced to ensure they are on par with other visual component enhancements made for Cartesians, and additional settings for scatter charts is also necessary. Report creators will find it easier to format and customize settings to align with the overall look and feel of their reports.

This would actually be useful - as long as it's used correctly. eg. Your x-axis is a categorical day-of-the-month and y-axis is number of jobs performed, a trend line might show that over time you tend to be busier towards the end of month. Now you can adjust your staff roster, or distribute the jobs more evenly, or whatever is best for your business.

MS Power BI needs to include the same trend line functionality offered in MS Excel.

this is really a must have, because at the moment i don't see the data that i want on the X-Axis if i have a continious graph with trendline.

Agree that this is required functionality: It doesn't make sense for the trend line to only be available with a Continuous X-Axis.

Shocked to learn I can't have a trend line for a date hierarchy of Year, Quarter, Month. If I start on Year show the trend line for the years and then show trend line as I drill down to Quarter and Month. Please implement this!

Definitely a requirement for categorical value. Having to resort to Excel for certain visuals with trend lines which I really want to get away from.
