Epic idea: Extended analytic functionalities

To fix inconsistencies in analytic settings, functionality needs to be enhanced to ensure they are on par with other visual component enhancements made for Cartesians, and additional settings for scatter charts is also necessary. Report creators will find it easier to format and customize settings to align with the overall look and feel of their reports.

Would be really valuable to be able to use both the nested x-axis labels and see trend lines at the same time. Especially in the instances mentioned above where users are looking to see trends against a date, and in my case, see that trend over the last few years.

Let's make this happen lovely PBI dev team! This is a valuable attribute. Would be great to make it possible.

Seriously cannot believe this doesn't exist.

This is so frustrating that this is still not an option for categorical data! It makes the chart almost useless without identifying a trend!

This is a mandatory component for the line charts.  Commonly requested within my organization.

I can't believe this. Today is 2022/7/13. In Power BI, we can only use trend lines for continuous values in the x axis.

Still have this issue and it's 12/19/2022. Sigh.

2023 and still missing that feature.

Anyone has a workaround for a bar chart trend line with categorical values ?

Right now we can only use trend lines for continuous values in the x axis. It would be great if a categorical value could also be used, such as month name.
