Epic idea: Apply filter selections automatically

Imagine a world where report creators can automatically apply slicer and filter selections based on specific logic, revolutionizing data analysis and user experience. This innovative approach eliminates any need for complex workarounds, optimizes slicer functionality, and paves the way for more efficient and effective data reporting.

It was very nice if we can set a value by default in Power BI Slicer. For example current year. Also it was very nice to switch between a single select and multi-select kind of thing in that control

I agree with others. This is a fundamental requirement and it's surprising/disappointing this is not already available.

we need this feature , in Date slicer ,whenever the Dashboard will be opened by Customer it should show the min(date) in "Fromdate"field by default in slicer and "Todate" will show the current date, Right now it is not possible in power bi desktop as i tried alott. Can anyone tell me is there any other way to show. and if there is not any other way then this feature should be implemented in Power bi Desktop. Thanks.

What's the status with this? It's an imperative piece of functionality and we will be moving BI providers if we can't achieve

Why it is taking too long to implement such a nice and simple feature. At lease give an option to select max/min/first/last value of any data type.
