It's genuinely baffling to me that Power BI doesn't have something as overwhelmingly basic and fundamental as tick marks. It's objectively bad data presentation and assuming it's deliberate a woeful design decision - the product should never even have left the alpha stage without it. This is something you learn before you turn 10 - it's so basic it shouldn't even be considred a "feature". I'm sure it's not the fault of programmers, rather a result of incompetent higher-level management who don't understand even the basics of data.
Tick marks, and competent axis customisation in general, is something that should have been part of this software before it ever hit the consumer market, but the sooner it's added the better.
