Enhance Power Query Advanced Editor with Advanced Text-Editing Features
The current Advanced Editor in Power Query is very basic and can be restrictive for frequent users. It would be extremely helpful to introduce advanced text-editing capabilities such as:
- Find & Replace (including replace all across queries)
- Syntax highlighting for better readability
- Enhanced formatting options
- Annotations or tagging beyond simple step hints (e.g., ability to highlight, add notes, or mark important sections)
These improvements would significantly speed up workflows, especially when handling multiple query steps or adjusting column headers. It would also make collaboration easier by allowing users to leave clear notes or visual markers for others.
