I would like to submit a feature request regarding language and regional settings in Power BI Service.
Many users prefer to keep the interface language in English, as it is the standard language used in documentation, collaboration, and technical communication. However, the current setup primarily links English to the US regional format, which creates challenges for users in Europe and other regions that follow different standards.
Specifically, many organisations would benefit from the possibility to select English (UK) — or a similar international English option — where:
Dates follow the European format (dd.mm.yyyy) instead of the US format (mm/dd/yyyy)
Number formatting uses spaces as thousand separators and commas as decimal separators, according to European conventions
The interface language remains English while regional formatting follows local standards
Today, users often need to compromise between interface language and correct regional formatting, which can lead to confusion, interpretation errors, and reduced usability in reports shared across international teams.
Adding support for English (UK) or allowing independent control over interface language and regional formatting would significantly improve the user experience for many Power BI customers in Europe and other non-US regions.
