Currently, Power BI Desktop does not provide any built-in mechanism to log or audit user sign-ins. This creates a visibility gap for organizations that need to:
- Monitor license usage .
- Track who is accessing Power BI Desktop and when.
- Audit user behavior for security and governance purposes.
While Power BI Service and Microsoft 365 offer audit logs, these do not cover local Power BI Desktop usage.
We would like to request the addition of a feature in Power BI Desktop that allows administrators to track user sign-in activity, especially for users with Power BI Pro or Premium licenses.
