Currently in Power BI Desktop, users must switch between Report View, Data View, and Model View within the same application window. This constant switching interrupts workflow, especially in complex projects where you need to reference model relationships, check raw data, and adjust visuals simultaneously.
I propose enabling the option to open each view in a separate window (for example, floating or dockable windows). This would allow:
-Viewing the data model while building visuals in the report view.
-Keeping the data table view open to verify transformations while adjusting relationships in the model view.
-Using multiple monitors more effectively for productivity.
This feature would significantly improve the user experience for advanced modeling and report development, and reduce time lost switching between contexts.
Impact:
-Faster development of complex reports.
-Better use of multi-monitor setups.
-Improved transparency when validating transformations and relationships.
