Enable/Disable export to PDF, PPT and printing functionality by workspace or by report. Rather than at tenant level.
Some datasets and analyses are too sensitive to even allow export to PDF, PPT and printing. But at the moment this option is only available to alter at the tenant level. It would be better to have it either at workspace level, or better, at report level in the same way as data exports are set at report level.

- dcresp1New MemberI also need to be able to select some tables that I do not want external users to be able to export data from. I am surprised that this idea has not got more votes. Please help get this idea up the list as sharing with external users has answered our business needs but we need to be able to control how much access external users get for security reasons. Please help get this idea up. It should be a fairly simple one to fix.
- valeriy_neboginNew MemberMust have. Without export control (enable\disbale at least) feature Power BI is useless for us.
- LeahkapNew MemberWe also need this, or our client will not be able to use Power BI.
- binaya1New MemberIt isn't really a easy solution to require global admin privileges to disable data export privileges! Should be much simpler!
- dcresp1New MemberThe March addition of having the admin level turn off export does not provide enough control. We need to be able to disable export for some reports that we share with external users. Far more control is needed over this feature. This is needed for us as a priority feature and I agree this should get more votes.
- dcresp1New MemberIn the same way that turning off Q and A is an option for each dashboard turning off export should be an option. This should be easy to do and is a major concern for us. Please make this happen soon.
- dcresp1New MemberAlong with the power to turn off export at a dashboard level we really need the ability to be able to turn off analyse in excel. We want to be able to use analyse in excel for our interal users but this will allow external users access which means they can get access to our entire database which is not somthing that we can allow. Hopefully this is one that will get looked at soon!
- dcresp1New MemberWe need this in Embedded as well as the service.
- dcresp1New MemberWhilst there is some control in the Service and Export can be turned off at the tenant level (which is far too blunt) there is no way to control this for Embedded which we need. If this is important to you please vote for this one as well. https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/16633324-disable-export-data-function-in-power-bi-embeded
- fbcideas_migusrNew MemberThe tenant settings don't give the control needed. It needs to be controlled at the report level and applied to a user, not applied to the user at the tenant level.
