Currently, Power BI's "Format by rules" feature only allows rules to be based on a single field. This limitation adds complexity to formatted reporting, especially when formatting logic depends on multiple fields (e.g., highlight a value if fielda = "B" or fieldb = "R").
To work around this, users must create DAX measures, which increases report development time and reduces maintainability.
Please consider enabling multi-field logic in rule-based formatting to improve flexibility and streamline report design.
This isnt a new frustration, I can see old (2018) suggestions for the similar things, but in 2025 it seems to be still a limitation - it's not an uncommon requirement.
