Microsoft should consider integrating DirectLake dataset support into Power BI Embedded. This enhancement would enable real-time data access directly from data lakes, allowing businesses to handle large datasets (3GB+) without the need for preloading or caching. DirectLake support would ensure that these extensive datasets do not become overly cumbersome, maintaining high performance and scalability. By leveraging DirectLake, Power BI Embedded can provide instant, flexible, and cost-efficient data insights, driving better decision-making processes for data-driven organizations.

This is also a need for customers who already have P SKUs or F SKUs equivalent to a F64 SKU or higher.
It seems Power BI Embedded is not possible with Direct Lake also on these capacities. This is a need.

In an ideal scenario, customers would be able to generate an embed token via API for a report using a DirectLake dataset using either a service principal and master user using the https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/groups/{{workspace_id}}/reports/{{report_id}}/generatetoken or https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/generatetoken endpoints.
