Imagine empowering self-service users to create their own lightweight semantic models by simply dragging tables from a central enterprise semantic model, while in direct lake mode (or any other mode). Users could select only the tables they need, while automatically inheriting existing relationships and measures from the large model. This would make self-service faster, cleaner, and more governed. Without rebuilding from scratch.
