I'd like the option to temporarily disable all visual refreshing when I'm designing a report. The issue is that every change made to a report causes all visuals on the page to refresh, and it causes the action to wait for the visuals. So If I add a measure/column/relationship, it can take 5-20 seconds for no reason. I just want to develop my reports lag free, which is caused by this annoying configuration.

- Robert_Solczak1New MemberI'm surprised to see how unpopular this idea is! For me it's a real headache to work on a report with multiple elements. There really should be a Designer Mode where calculations don't occur upon adding or modifying measures/elements. As simple as turning the Calculation in Excel to Manual.
- sally_levesqueNew MemberThis feature would save me a lot of time and frustration. As my dashboard gets bigger, making the smallest change gets harder and harder as I need to wait for recalculations of unrelated visuals each time. It's seriously increasing the time it takes for me to create a dashboard.

This would be really great feature. Most of the time you're NOT interested in the data. Even if it would show "dummy" figures would be good enough to create your dashboard/report. This woould make a huge impact on delivering a report very fast!

I don't need to refresh every visual in the pbix, I just want to see what this one bar chart looks like with a different color. The data hasn't changed since it last refreshed 30 seconds ago.

It would be a good idea, in some aplications you dont need update the visual. Right now I work with visual to see 3D models and take long time to refresh the visual.
