Can we have an option of Direct Query for Odata sources ? This will ensure that the data security implemented at the source will be recognized when the users are viewing the reports. In our case we are using MS CRM online for managing sales opportunities. We have created powerbi reports using the OData source. The challenge we have is when we publish these reports either as content pack or directly sharing the dashboard, all the recipient gets access to all the data that the publisher has. Regards, Ashish

- senka_ekicNew MemberWe request same for over a year. Development is slow and crappy because we must manually "overload" programming to adjust authorizations on both sides, CRM and PBI. Is it will be someday possible to get authorization compatible on both MS products?
- ross_lambertRegular VisitorSekic... if you're still looking for a solution, we *might* have something that could help. I'd have to hear more to better understand what you're trying to accomplish. The product is called Conduit and it would allow you to centralize connection management, even for OData API connections. That may enable you to have different connections with different right. Ping me if you're interested.

- scott_melhopNew MemberThis would be a game changer for custom connectors!
- pbiideas1New MemberTHIS IS NEEDED SO BAD! How do they plan to integrate their top 2 hot softwares right now without creating a link between them! Cmon Microsoft, Dynamics 365 and Power BI need to rely on each other and Using Odata url/api is the best way to work with the Entities inside Dynamics 365 for now. Please get this solution for this! Truly this would be a game changer..
