Direct Query for SharePoint List

With large volume of data in SharePoint List, it takes forever for a scheduled/on-demand refresh as it refreshes everything from scratch. It would be nice to support direct query (live query) against SPO List. Customer is expecting to see real-time dashboard change when item is updated in SPO list.

I totally agree with Nick as for the PowerApps / PowerBI integration with direct refresh.

Yes... Especially if we are looking to incorporate Power App within our Dashboards. We want to see changes reflected as soon as possible - instead of waiting for a scheduled refresh.

I can't relate my sharepoint (import) sources to my direct query sources, but that would be fixed if sharepoint had direct query.
