With large volume of data in SharePoint List, it takes forever for a scheduled/on-demand refresh as it refreshes everything from scratch. It would be nice to support direct query (live query) against SPO List. Customer is expecting to see real-time dashboard change when item is updated in SPO list.

- Exactly this. There is a huge market using SharePoint today and connecting visuals to SPO Lists with as close to real-time data as possible will open up a world of use cases. One in particular, a client is looking to see a prioritization matrix change with respect to new data entered in a List to make key business decisions. Having live connectivity to this list is not something Tableau or Qlikview can do today and would stand a significant opportunity for Microsoft.

- Yes, I want it too. For easy / quick / real-time, I want the DirectQuery to SharePoint List, instead of Import from SharePoint List.
- Please, provide DirectQuery capability for SharePointOnline lists.

- Would greatly help the PowerApps and Power BI integration. Submit data via PowerApp to Sharepoint List, view data in Power BI without needing a full data refresh.
