Dataset isn't updating online

I'm publishing a dataset from Power BI desktop, getting a successful publish message, but the dataset and reports built off of it online are not actually updating. If I rename the dataset and publish, it publishes successfully. I have many reports online built off of the current dataset, so renaming and starting over is not really an option.

Not certain I am tracking. The original message is indicating your dataset is static and disconnected from the original dataset. This is expected until you setup the gateway to keep refresh the data. The error below sounds like a failure during a publish due to a network failure. Thanks, Chuck
