Without lineage Power BI must be eliminated as a contender in the BI market for institutions like banks which need to be able to trace data flow to the element in a report for auditing purposes and also source to target mapping for side effects that could be caused by a change. Our company likes the way Power BI is headed, we just need to be able to audit and do STTM.

Tight integration with a metadata provider. As an analyst to be able to say what is this and have it fetch the data governance definition for that object from a repository would be awesome. Heck even reading the extended properties for that table/column would be fantastic.
