You know what Power BI feature I'm waiting for? A data dictionary. Power BI already has built in to the relationship "app" all these data dictionary qualities:
- the ability to visualize relationships between tables,
- create table and column descriptions,
- create table and column synonyms,
- see data types
- (Maybe add an extra "Workflow" field so I can describe how data is captured and/or how reliable it is)
Now I just need to be able to export that into a simple excel file! An exportable data dictionary would be way better for training new staff and explaining data to more technical stakeholders.
