Dashboard filters

It would be great if the report filters /page filter are pined to the dashboard.

When pinning a visual to a dashboard, only the visual’s filters are applied, the report/page filters are lost – in practice this means that all filters must be added to the visual level (if the visual is ever to be pinned to a dashboard.) Suggestion - When pinning a visual to the dashboard, there is already an option asking if I want to copy the existing formatting/style –allow me to choose if I want to copy the page/report filter to the pinned tile too.

this seems to be *working however... the dashboard only shows (via focus mode) the visual level filters?? can't we display what was pinned at the time by showing all filters for the tile? without this it relies on the user pinning a tile to appropriately name a tile based on filtering applied - if they fail to do this then things become very confusing

It can be useful insert all filter in a report page and pin the "filter-page" in dashboard, but if you relate the report pages, in dashboard you lose the relationship. Maybe, if you could mantain the relationship also in dashboard, it could be a good solution.

Yes that would be great! I came from QlikSense and the way PowerBi handles filters is very difficult for me... I think PowerBi could steal a page from Qlik Here: Putting all the active filers on top of the page, allowing the user to easily identify all the filters that are "on". Those "buttons " also allow the user to exclude one filter, or to do some other actions, such as select all possible values, select exclude, and so on... I also think that can be an option that all filters affect everything on the app. That is the standard method of QlikSense. If you want something to not change you apply this by using a modifier on the formula of the field. From what I can tell now, this is not the standard way of PowerBi dealing with filters.
