Customize values in matrices and tables

I'd like to be able to define the detail level (hundreds, thousands, millions, etc) and the number of decimal places, (0.##, 0.###, etc) for the values displayed in matrix and table views.

This has actually been available for a little while! In the format pane for table/matrix, look under Field Formatting, and you'll see options to customize the display units and decimal places for just that visual. Hope that helps! thanks!

Add the ability to format columns inside of a matrix to "thousands", "millions", "billions", etc. This is available in other chart types such as column charts

Can't believe this isn't available or that a custom visual hasn't filled the gap!

It would be great to have this added alongside the new conditional formatting functionality for specific columns in matrices. Also it would be an excellent way to cleanup large matrices to more naturally tie visually to other graphics that allow the formatting of numbers.

Maybe there should be a system wide default setting for rolling up values / format settings which would apply to all visuals.

Any number that gets displayed on a visual should be customisable like this. You're not going to draw people away from Excel and Tableau if you don't have some of the basic customisation like this.

Is there any alternate for this. I tried using Format but this function convert number in text that's why it is not working under value. Please help.

Brutal.. Just realized this functionality isn't available. Generally the automatic formatting/rounding works great - but in tables we totally lose any ability to customize the rounding. Changing the field itself works, but causes problems for other visuals
