As an example, a field that says, "Data last updated date/time: "

This would be an excellent improvement for me so that I can print dashboards in my corporate branding/styles and therefore fit for clients

I agree, having both corporate branding and last refreshed info on the report often leaves it feeling cramped - allowing these items to go into header/ footers would unclutter reports.

Yes. Please add basic formatting abilities like one would see in any MS Office product (text boxes, insert shapes, header/footer, insert image, typical text editing features, tables, typical text editing, etc.) Currently it's difficult to design a report that's visually appealing (graphically) or with a custom look and feel.

Having a consistent header/margins I can duplicate across multiple pages and only have to update once would be awesome! If I have to change any of my regular slicers now, I have to do it for every page on my report.

'It's great that we can add a page background. But just a start. Users have been able to add headers and footers across MS Office for decades. We are trained to think of that approach. I have been asked to add a left aligned measure to the background page canvas. Specifically two examples: + Heading measure that dynamically projects the name of the page into the top left + Subheading measure that dynamically adds a left-aligned SubHeading immediately under the Heading: SubHeading = "Data extract: "& Max( ExtractTable[DateTime] ) I would also like to make the bars [ie. the strip along the top with the Focus Mode toggle and breadcrumbs for More Options] for these visualisations unselectable by default. To bump into the or edit them the report developer would have to specifically go into the page background mode.

I have requirements to add a page header on all my reports/dashboards. I add an "As of" or "Data Extract" to every report/dashboard.

Short of creating an organisational template, this would be quite useful if you could create a header/footer from the admin side that is applied to all reports to include information on whether the information can be shared, when it was run and any other health warnings.

an extension to this: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/33373642-freeze-panes-in-powerbi idea of allowing filters and or charts to float or snap into a header for a page for reports.

I agree it would be useful for me too. Currently I manually update 2 text fields on each page (one in the header area and one in the footer area) so the ability to essentially create a simple 'style guide' to be consistent on each page would be amazing.
