Custom Visual Export Link

We have a custom visual, which allows us to pass dynamic (user-driven) selections into a URL which becomes clickable and executes an API call. This works wonderful! We're wanting to know if there is a way to shorten the URL or make it so no dialog comes up when a user clicks on this custom visual link? Is that possible?
