Custom Data Labels in Charts

A simple yet extremely useful feature of Excel graphs that Power BI lacks (yet) is the option to put another column (or measure in this case) as custom data labels. This would allow as to, for example, make a horizonal bar chart with the values in the labels and the % in the axis.

  • Allow the label to draw from any or all values/measures in the fields or the tooltips.
  • Need to be able to add both the % of Total and Value to a stacked bar chart. We can do this in Excel. Why not Power BI? I created a measure to do this but it will not allow me to put a carriage return after the value so the label is long and I cannot add many months to my visual or it disappears. A word wrap would also help, or the ability to add 2 custom labels. Also formatting them - I'd like to only have 1 decimal for the %.

I would show examples, but it will not allow me to add a file or post a picture.
