Correct bug with interface to SharePoint List

Therre is a design flw/bug with the listdata.svc Rest API that is impacting Power Queries ability to filter large SharePoint lists. Filters on indexed date columns do not use index -- they get the whole LIST. One of the most common filters on an operations dashboard is based on modified date.!!!
