A new Data Days event is coming soon! This time we’re going bigger than ever. Fabric, Power BI, SQL, AI and more. Don't miss out.

Copy Job - Allow for transform of data to Fabric-acceptable data types

Copy Jobs look really promising, but there's one significant issue currently. When I've used in in Preview, the Copy Job accurately detects source data types. However, if the destination (such as a Fabric Warehouse) does not support the source data type or would truncate the data type (such as timestamps), the Copy Job can't work. This will make it a non-viable option especially for organizations who use very detailed timestamp data types in their source.

Could we have the option to define the data type we'd like to have in destination, and acknowledge possible truncation errors so the process can run?

Also, please better support Geography Data Type. It's odd that the SOURCE supports Geography and the DESTINATION supports Geography but I can't use a Copy Job for this
