Computed Columns in Delta Tables

It would be of great benefit, if computed columns could be supported in a Warehouse/Lakehouse. Sometimes there a computed column is a quick fix to deliver a information for a data model / semantic model. If we use views for example, we will not be able to benefit from the performance boost of Direct Lake Mode, within semantic models.
