It would be really helpful if you could add a column description or comment to column names.
As dashboards are worked on by multiple groups and passed down as people move on in their careers, it would be helpful if short comments could be added to describe what the column is showing when you hover over the column in data view. This is especially useful when a column name doesn't necessarily make it clear what the column is representing.
As a very simple example, if you hovered over the ROI column name, the analyst could add the column comment " ROI = return on investment. This is calculated by dividing the profit earned on an investment by the cost of that investment."
Year ROI
2011 | $5,203
2012| $2,721
2013 | $9,829
This lets other analyst working on the dashboard know exactly what the column represents and how the calculations were performed, without necessarily having to know financial acronyms or calculations.
