- bgambleNew MemberI agree - in a university setting we find the ability to have flexibility of what to display helps in presenting only what the user is interested in - great for executives who just want to see specific info
- bharat_das2New MemberMy tooltips get repeated values if try to drop columns in tooltip box as both default and custom tooltips get activated and there is no way to stop one without stopping other so you are stuck with repeated tooltips or none at all. There should be option to customise tooltips.
- craine1New MemberIn the case of line charts, when multiple series must appear in the chart area, I'd like to configure the tooltip to display data for only one series on mouse over. Currently, data for all visible series appear in the tooltip, regardless of which series the mouse points to.
- jhuntNew MemberI would REALLY like the capability (particularly when dealing with line charts with lots of lines) to be able to hover over *one* line and get information only on that *one* line. Right now that doesn't seem possible.
- qwinisdoefferNew MemberI agree with the fact that if tooltip could show just the information of a point in a line chart, and not information of all lines at that particular point in time it would be great! I mean not just tooltip per X axis, but also tooltip per Legend...

Tableau has this capability. Would love to see Power BI add this as well.

Agree with this! This particularly became an issue for me when using the ArcGIS map (or any map) visual. I don't want GPS coordinates or fields that are redundant to my legend within the tooltip. Being able to toggle or choose which fields appear in the tooltip would be great.
Also agree that when hovering over a plot point on a line chart with many lines, it's confusing seeing every line in the tooltip rather than only the line being hovered over.

Currently the tooltip in Power BI Line chart unable to show the exact x, y value. It will attempt to list all y axis values at a particular x axis location. Other software have the capability to display a single value tooltip at a particular location.
