Charts Data Sorting With Non Numeric/Date Fields On X-Axis

At present there is an inconsistent behavior in the way the data is sorted in PowerBI charts. We have a multidimensional cube that has "User count" as measure which needs to be sliced over calendar dimension. When we drag an attribute such as “Month Name” (for which sort key is Monthkey in the cube) on x-axis and measure on values then by default the data in the chart is sorted by the measure instead of MonthKey. if we use “Date” attribute on X-axis instead of Month then we see the data is sorted by default on date. In case of “Month Name” slicer, we have to manually change the sort order by changing the chart sort properties to sort it on month explicitly. As most of the user doesn’t know this sort behavior, users have to build the graph, realize it is not sort correctly and re-sort it again. This behavior is causing some performance/load issues on back end as the data needs to be recalculated different ways for different sort by clauses. There should a way we can enforce the sorting on PowerBI to do sorting by default on x-axis/any field irrespective of the field data type
