Can't connect to a table within an Oracle database

I'm trying to connect to an Oracle database that contains spatial information. After successfully connecting, I try to preview or load one of my tables or views that contains spatial information and PowerBI kicks back this error message. "Custom type mapping for 'dataSource='*****' schemaName='*****' typeName='ST_GEOMETRY'' is not specified or is invalid". Not sure what is going on here - is this something my DBA can fix? Or is this a deeper PowerBI issue? Thanks!
