Can't add new field to visuals after updating dataset

After adding a new column to a data set and uploading/replacing it, I can't add that column to visuals (whether existing or new ones). An error comes up saying that "The visual has unrecognised fields". Attempting to recreate the report from scratch does not help.

I got the same error today when I added a new tab and table. It actually broke the original table and report

I've had the same problem. For me it is just a matter of time. If I refresh the report ~30 min after uploading the new dataset, the error message goes away, and the visual shows as expected (including the new measure).
