Calculated measures when live connected to MDX cubes

In May 2017 Power BI Desktop started supporting creation of DAX measures when working in live connect mode to an external SSAS model: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-may-feature-summary/ Vote on this idea if you want support for calculated measures against multidimensional models too.

As per other comments, my vote originally was for SSAS MD support. We need this urgently.

Only Tabular was included?!? I thought the May release was for either, I guess I was wrong. Really needed this for Multidimensional, just not getting any love...

In line with other comments: the votes from the previous idea should be carried over to this one. We should not start back from zero. Or please reopen the previous one! Also please can you confirm that this idea is already underway as this was assumed in the previous idea?

I was hoping that multidimensional is supported as part of this release :(. Is there a timeline when this feature will be available?

Given that our current and major investment with SSAS resides in MD its dissapointing that creating calculated measures against these types of cubes is a let down. I get that you're trying to push tabular but the trying to get powerbi pushed through industry is tough if we are also required to migrate all existing SSAS tools to tabular. Won't fly in my organization. PLEASE add calculated measures for SSAS MD and we will move over the PowerBI

We need this functionality for Multidimensional cubes. We don't use tabular.

The absence of calculated measures against live connected multidimensional cubes is major reason why we can't migrate to Power BI, and it's a major disappointment that the original idea was not implemented as described.

Has work on multidimensional been started or you are going to wait till it gathers votes? I mean the original idea was for both multidimensional and tabular - and a lot of people might have voted for calculated measures on multidimensional already.

Definitely a must-have to enable us switching to PowerBI. Disappointed to not see this functionality released along with DAX custom calculations. Would really appreciate to see MS supporting his MD community, Tabular is not fully ready yet to enable a transition from MD -> Tabular....
