Bulk remove assets from Data Products in Unified Catalog UI

In the Unified Catalog Data Products UI, assets can only be removed one at a time via the ellipsis menu. For data products containing dozens or hundreds of assets, this makes cleanup, refactoring, or retirement extremely time‑consuming and error‑prone. Users are effectively forced to use REST APIs for what should be a basic bulk UI operation.

Feature request:
• Allow multi‑select of assets within a data product
• Provide a bulk “Remove from data product” action
• Optional confirmation dialog to prevent accidental mass removal

This would significantly improve operational usability without requiring additional permissions or API usage.

Hi! Great to see more people sharing this frustration 😊 I actually wrote a post about this exact same issue a few days ago: Why is deleting items in Fabric still a one-by-one task? https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Fabric-platform/Why-is-deleting-items-in-Fabric-still-a-on... I also submitted a Fabric Idea so Microsoft can implement it: Bulk delete support for multi-selected items in Fabric https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Fabric-Ideas/Bulk-delete-support-for-multi-selected-items-... If you find it useful, a like on both would really help give it visibility. The more people behind it, the better the chances Microsoft picks it up! 🙏

Hi! Thanks for your comments. I have liked your idea and I really hope they can implement that feature. If you don't mind, please can you also like/vote mine too? We never know which they will end up picking. Thanks.

This would be very useful functionality in Microsoft Purview, thanks for suggesting and I've done a thumbs up!
