Description:
Currently, in the Power BI Matrix visual, users must manually click the expand buttons to drill into hierarchical fields every time the data fields are changed. This can be inconvenient and time-consuming, especially when working with complex or frequently changing fields.
Suggestion:
Add an option to automatically expand all hierarchy levels in the Matrix visual as soon as the fields are added or changed, without requiring manual interaction from the user. This feature would greatly improve usability, streamline data exploration, and make the Matrix visual more consistent with other BI tools that offer automatic hierarchy expansion (such as Spotfire).
Benefits:
- Saves time for users who frequently explore hierarchical data.
- Enhances the user experience by reducing repetitive manual actions.
- Provides better support for dashboards and reports that require immediate full visibility into all hierarchy levels.
Please consider adding this as a configurable option in Matrix visual settings.
