Allow PowerBI to auto save yoru progress on a frequency set by the user, same as Excel/word etc. this way, the user can maintain progress after PowerBI inevitably crashes.

I always wonder why this must be submited for review or even as a feedback, auto save must be thought of as one of the basics things from a MS product. Please do not focus on the amount of votes on this one and include it in you pipeline ASAP. This will be an awesome thing. I have lost a couple of updates to a report due to this.
    Thanks.

  • Hello, PBI Desktop sometimes crashes unexpectedly. Even if an automatic backup is created every 10 or 15 minutes, it would be nice to have the auto-save configuration (same as Excel, PPT or Word) when working on PBIX files that are stored on One Drive. Thanks for your work :)
  • The tool crashes sometimes unexpectedly. Would be good to have an auto save with frequency setting available.
  • A useful feature would be the option to enable auto save on powerBI desktop
