Authentication between Business Central and Fabric with SP

Hi,

 

currently the only authentication method available to connect Fabric with Business Central with a Dataflow Gen2 is via OAuth.

As this is not best practice for operational excellence, I would like to request to also add Service Principal as authentication method for this connection.

Following up on your request sent over DM, the idea was routed to the correct team internally and the status change reflects that it requires more votes so it can be prioritized. The next status would be either planned, rejected or completed.
