Assigning a specific color to an existing measure that will persist automatically across all visuals

Power BI’s default behavior doesn’t fully support this.

Built-in visuals and report themes assign colors based on the order of measures in a visual, not by the measure names themselves. This means colors can change if the order of measures varies across visuals.

Themes apply a consistent palette report-wide but don’t link specific colors to specific measures.

Conditional formatting is available for some visuals (like tables), but it requires individual setup and doesn’t cover all visual types universally.

If there could be a functionality through DAX or a conditional formating for selected measure that would be uniform through all visuals, tables and reports would be excellent.

For visuals with more than one measure reported in different colours (e.g. most graphs), the visual format panel usually supports assigning a specific colour by series. Where this suggestion would be useful is for small multiples - to be able to assign a measure as a small multiple colour would be great. Or is it time to ditch most visuals for python+matplotlib.
