Apply and manage RLS (row-level security) and CLS (column-level security) using a visual no-code interface

A wide variety of tasks can now be completed using the visual no-code experience in Fabric, allowing Fabricators not proficient with T-SQL to manage data warehouses effectively in most scenarios. Visual Queries are a good example. However, implementing RLS (row-level security) and CLS (column-level security) in Fabric must still be done using code.

A visual no-code experience allowing Fabricators to intuitively manage RLS and CLS would be a major improvement. This experience would allow for both the configuration and validation of such rules, with a "View as" feature displaying a sample of the table when viewed as a certain user or user group.

The interface would need to allow users and groups to be selected from a "people picker" linked to Entra ID.

Proper configuration of RLS and CLS at the data level is more important now than ever, considering Copilot will use Fabric data warehouses as a source.
