Analyze in Excel Date Columns - Convert Text -> Date

When connecting to Power BI datasets using Analyze in Excel, all date fields from models show up in pivot tables as text, which disables filtering or grouping for date groups. It is possible to fix this or give us a workaround to set columns as date? Thanks!

The work around I found was to create a Measure in PowerBI.
When this is connected to via the OLAP cube it comes in as a date value

m_Scheduled Month = SUM('Scheduled Revenue'[ScheduledMonth])

I just wasted 8h to end up here. My rage cannot be put into words. How can this issue exist for at least a year and it is still not fixed. Like literally everyone stated the "analyze in excel" is completely useless without this fix.

Peopel are complaining about this issue since 2017. Realy? Within 4 years you can't make your one of the most importat applications talking together in same Date Format? Saying that this is ridiculous is like saying nothing.

I totally agree to most of the comments. This problem should be solved. Thank you for your attention. I’m looking forward to a reply.

Need this ASAP. Working with a model with 4-5 Date Tables and will have to manually add in hierarchies for each.
