An application should be able to allow users in 'read only' mode to set alerts. Alerts are a critical part of the desirable functionality.

Having a consistent look and feel is essential to good product design. Many of us set our users to 'read only' to ensure this consistency. A user should still be able to have a 'read only' status AND set an 'alerts'. The 'alerts' functionality is a huge asset to the Power BI tool and should be available as a proactive option for user reports.

You can create Alerts on dashboards that have been shared with you (i.e. that are read only). If we've misunderstood your request please create a new idea! thanks!

I've run out of votes, otherwise would vote for this. I would also love the ability to set 'alerts's to go to multiple people / email addresses. Otherwise you could potentially have all your users manually setting up the same 'alerts's.

This is important to my team because we build our products/dashboards and then release them to a user community. We think of it like a commercial product. As a result I dont want to make my customers 'admins' but i do want them to have the great functionality of being able to set notifications. As our dashboard as sales and velocity focus setting goals and notifications is important to us. Awesome idea!

Will - We created a dashboard that we invited users to by adding them to our group workspace. We set the users to be Members who can only view content. How can we give these Members the ability to create 'alerts's?
