- nishalitNew MemberHi everyone, You should check out Direct Query in Power BI Desktop, it doesn't have the same restrictions as the experience in the service. You can build your reports in Desktop and publish them to the service! Here's more details: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-desktop-use-directquery/
- casey_pettingilNew MemberI am not sure why this isn't there already. As of now it seems I have to delete a data source and re-add it in order to update the schema.
- mhenningAdvocate II'm amazed there is no ability to do this now. I want to be able to add a view to a set of reports without deleting and re-attaching the entire dataset.
- mf4New MemberFor Power BI not to refresh schema from Azure SQL is pretty scary.
- willixieNew MemberIn addition to updating the Schema for a given table/view, can we update if new Tables/Views are created or old Tables/Views are deleted as well?
- fbcideas_migusrNew MemberMuch needed functionality
- mw1New MemberYes please
- gjrossAdvocate IIThis, I would have thought, would be an absolute requirement. I am writing new views all of the time and to keep starting my reports from scratch is ridiculous!
- stephan6New MemberHow is this not in there?
- marc_weldonNew MemberI'm shocked this isn't built in - do I have to delete my data source and all my reports if I add or update a view??!
