Allow mailto: hyperlinks in Power BI tables

Currently hyperlinks in tables must begin with www., http:// or https://. Add "mailto:" as an accepted hyperlink prefix. This would be very helpful for quickly allowing users to see an insight in the data, have the dashboard tell them who the right person to contact would be to address the issue or opportunity, and easily initiate an email to that person.

You can now use many new URL types, including mailto links, in tables! Learn more in our blog post: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-may-feature-summary/#urlTables

Yes, this is a very nice feature, we also need to allow text box (on the dashboard) to have a "mailto:name@example.com" link for "Help / Questions" which will directly open a new mail in the outlook

I agree that this would be a great feature to have as part of the standard options. Feedback on a dashboard is important and this is a time saver option for said feedback in large organisations.

Would this allow mailto hyperlinks throughout Power BI, or only in tables? I've noticed that just inserting a textbox with a mailto hyperlink also does not work.

This is needed. We need to insert email contact to the disclaimer of our report.

This is needed. We need to insert email contact to the disclaimer of our report. Pretty similar to what other folks asked for.

As a temporary work around, you can create a custom visual and place the below code : [Edit as required] Contact Email The limitation here is, for changing the mailing list, you will have to edit the custom visual again.
