Allow connect Live option with SAS HTTP endpoint

When trying to access an SSAS cube using HTTP endpoint, aka data pump, only import option is possible, losing all the cube metadata. is it possible to allow the connect live option to get advantage of the cube semantic model? what I would like to have is the same behavior I've when using excel connected to the cube using the data pump. When I'm using excel I have a pivot table connected to the cube through the data pump that allows me to create easily my reports without the need of recreating in excel the data model from the scratch.
