Allow Excel Online to connect to a Power BI data source via 'Analyse In Excel'

Now that Power BI has the Analyse in Excel function, can you please make Excel Online (Excel in a browser) connect to the Power BI data source so slicers and timelines function and the workbook can refresh from the Power BI data source?

Doing a full circle from PBI-Excel-PBI with full interactivity totally make sense and I am sure many of Power BI customers who are very heavy in Excel, would love it.

This would be a great complement to Power BI visuals mostly for those used to see data via Excel.

Pinning parts of an Excel workbook to a Power BI dashboard only makes sense if the data is up-to-date

There are times when a standard Excel pivot table makes a bit more sense than the PowerBI table and matrix. With PowerBI hosting 'apps' in SharePoint Online, there is a natural fit for colocating "Analyze in Excel" workbooks for data consumption. The ability to alter the slicer/filter elements of an Excel PivotTable could provide a lower barrier to entry for people to consume PowerBI content if it could be actively filtered in Excel Online.

I read somewhere that the Excel development team needs to fix this on their end?? This really needs to be fixed, otherwise publishing to workbooks section in Power BI is asking for trouble with other users based on the data is stale and doesn't refresh (reload button does nothing) unless the desktop file has been manually refreshed. vote on it here. https://excel.uservoice.com/forums/274580-excel-online/suggestions/33793252-pivottables-created-with-power-bi-using-analyze-in

Without this option, the 'Analyze in Excel' feature only has 50% of its impact.
