We are currently migrating data in such a way that some Power BI reports, which are used as DirectQuery sources for other reports, have had to be rebuilt.
The new reports are identical in all ways to the old ones, so it would be useful to have the ability to swap out links for DirectQuery connections to Semantic Models similarly to how we can use Advanced Editor for Import Mode when swapping from one SQL server to another. In essence, if the data structure and types remain the same, it would be useful to simply swap to the the Semantic Model instead of having to rebuilt that part of the report entirely.
