In Power Pivot, you can have dates like January, February, March, etc. as custom columns and then sort them by a different date column so that they don't sort alphabetical order but in date order. We need this feature in Power BI Preview!

- Yes, please do this asap! I find it unhelpful to remove functionality in PowerPivot that you have become accustomed to Moving to using Power BI desktop should be as seamless as possible
